Suresh Baral was named director of quantitative methods. He was hired from Bank of America, where he was a vice president responsible for statistical and data mining projects. He will be in charge of quantitative models used in risk, direct mail, and collections.

Vernon Fuller was promoted to director of marketing and new ventures. He previously held positions overseeing risk management and direct marketing at Renaissance. He will be responsible for, "out of the box thinking," said Irving J. Levin, chief executive officer.
