Visa U.S.A. said it has signed a marketing agreement with the WellsPark Group, a mall developer based in Newton, Mass.

Visa will have exclusive rights to promote its payment products at WellsPark's 27 properties. Customers will be offered special promotions to use Visa cards. The promotions will be linked to Visa's sports sponsorships, which include the National Football League and the Olympic Games.

Visa also hopes to test new products such as smart card-based loyalty programs in WellsPark malls.
