Visa U.S.A. is the principal sponsor of the SOHO Summit, a conference for Fortune 500 and high-tech companies seeking to better understand the growing small office-home office market.

"SOHO" companies-those with no more than 20 employees-spend $103 billion a year, according to Visa. There are more than 41 million such enterprises in the United States, and Visa sees the segment as the fastest growing in the small-business market.

Bruno Perreault, senior vice president of commercial cards at Visa, said, "We're committed to understanding the needs of the SOHO worker and to working with our member banks to provide the business tools and resources SOHOs need to operate efficiently and successfully."

The summit is scheduled for May 23-25 in Carlsbad, Calif.
