Card Briefs: Visa Wins an Award From Travel Agents

SAN FRANCISCO - Visa said it has won its second straight World Travel Award as the "world's leading credit card," as voted by travel agents internationally.

Established in 1994, World Travel Awards were given in 50 categories, including cruise lines and airports. They were organized by Travel Trade Gazette Worldwide, a trade publication.

"We plan to further strengthen our relationship with the travel industry by continuing to offer top-quality products, services, and promotional programs to meet the vital needs of both travelers and travel merchants worldwide," said Thomas C. Edwards, Visa U.S.A.'s senior vice president of travel and entertainment marketing.
