Cards Brief: Card Marketer Moves To Bigger Offices in Ga.

Compucredit Corp. has moved into a 25,000-square-foot corporate office and has opened an additional operations center to accommodate growth. Compucredit, which markets the Aspire Visa card to subprime customers -- to whom it refers as the "underserved market" -- has grown in less than three years from four employees to more than 160 and from 15,000 cardholders to 800,000. The cards are issued by Columbus Bank and Trust Co., a subsidiary of Synovus Financial Corp. of Columbus, Ga.

The new 15,000-square-foot center in Duluth, Ga., supplements the company's original operations center in Atlanta.

Compucredit said it has been adding 20,000 to 25,000 cardholders a week.
