MEDFORD, Mass. -- Century Bancorp said it consolidated its three Massachusetts banking affiliates into its lead bank, Century Bank and Trust Co. The bank will now operate 14 branch offices in eastern Massachusetts.
Marshall M. Sloane, currently chairman and president of Century Bancorp, will remain chairman and chief executive of Century Bank and Trust. George F. Swansburg, previously president of Century North Shore Bank and Trust Co., Lynn, will become president and chief operating officer of the Century Bank and Trust.
