Chase Manhattan Corp. priced a $1 billion issue of securities backed by credit card receivables Thursday afternoon. The five-year offering was priced at a yield 85 basis points over Treasuries, in line with preliminary indications. Chase Securities Inc. is lead manager of the deal.

Separately, Chase is actively selling medium-term notes, market sources said. It has placed about $150 million in maturities of roughly two years at rates of 140 to 145 basis points over comparable Treasuries, they said.
