Chemical promotes joint program.

Chemical Bank is promoting its investment-products program in statement stuffers mailed to thousands of customers.

The mailings, which began last month, should get customers talking about Chemical Investment Services, said Leonard Malkin, president of the new unit.

"We're building the infrastructure," he said.

Chemical launched the program last month as a joint venture with an investment product marketing company, Boston-based Liberty Financial Services.

Chemical prominently features the program in Dividends, a magazine sent quarterly to high-net-worth customers, and has begun placing brochures and other marketing materials in branches, Mr. Malkin said.
