Choice of Clinton Aide for OTS Acknowledged

Ellen S. Seidman is the Clinton administration's choice to lead the Office of Thrift Supervision, Treasury Secretary Robert E. Rubin said Wednesday, confirming a report in that day's American Banker.

For the past four years Ms. Seidman has worked at the National Economic Council as a special assistant to President Clinton. Prior to her work at the White House, Ms. Seidman was a senior vice president at the Federal National Mortgage Association.
