Commerce Bank Names Executive

Commerce Bank in Kansas City, Mo., has promoted R. Nicholas Pflumm to manager of residential construction and development lending in the commercial real estate division.

Mr. Pflumm, who remains an executive vice president, will be in charge of single-family construction and development lending in the Kansas City area, which includes the Johnson County market.

Mr. Pflumm, who has more than 20 years of banking experience, was a retail manager in Shawnee, Kan., and joined Commerce Bank in 1997 when it bought Shawnee State Bank.

He is to report to Commerce Bank vice chairman Kevin Barth. The bank is a subsidiary of $11.1 billion-asset Commerce Bancshares.
