Commerce Bank Names Executive

Commerce Bank in Kansas City, Mo. has promoted Marsha L. Johnson to vice president in its personal trust division.

Ms. Johnson is in charge of converting the systems and managing the investment management staff in Commerce's new Kansas offices in Garden City, Pittsburg, and Independence. She has worked at Commerce bank throughout her 18-year banking career.

The bank also hired John K. Morris as an assistant vice president in the personal trust division and promoted Lucinda B. Powell and and Marcia S. Ubben to that rank.

The three will manage and administer personal trust, investment, custodial, and individual retirement portfolios.

Mr. Morris came from Community Bank of Raymore in Missouri, where he was a trust officer. He has eight years of trust experience.

Ms. Powell joined Commerce five years ago and worked the previous two years at UMB Financial Corp. in Kansas City.

Ms. Ubben joined Commerce's retail department in 1975 and has spent the last 16 years in its trust division.
