Commerce Bank Names Executive

Commerce Bank, Kansas City, Mo., the principal subsidiary of Commerce Bancshares, has promoted Katherine A. Hunter to vice president in the business banking division.

Ms. Hunter, who was assistant vice president, is responsible for the bank's Small Business Administration loans and other small-business portfolios.

Commerce Bank also promoted Rebecca K. Soetaert, Terrie Williams, and Minerva S. Toloza to assistant vice president.

Ms. Soetaert and Ms. Williams both work in the bank card division. Ms. Soetaert is responsible for credit card marketing strategies; Ms. Williams deals with strategic planning, risk analysis, and developing new products.

Ms. Toloza, assistant secretary in the commercial loan services division, is responsible for managing a commercial loan accounting team for bank branches in Kansas and western Missouri.

In addition, Commerce Bancshares elected Benjamin F. Rassieur 3d as a director.

Mr. Rassieur, president of Paulo Products Co. in St. Louis, succeeded his father, B. Franklin Rassieur 2d, who had been a director since 1986. Since 1992 the younger Mr. Rassieur has been a director of Commerce Bank in St. Louis.
