Consultant Plans 25% Staff Growth

Edgar, Dunn & Co., a San Francisco-based management consulting firm, has expanded its practice to meet demand for technology and financial services consulting.

The firm - with revenues expected to exceed $10 million in 1996 and a worldwide staff of more than 50 - is expanding its staff by 25%.

Edgar, Dunn already specializes in card payment systems and smart card technology. To beef up its service, the firm plans a number of key promotions and additions.

These include promoting Jane Cloninger, a senior financial industry consultant and former executive at First Interstate Bancorp, to partner and hiring:

*Kenneth Howes, the former head of emerging markets and payments strategy for Midland Bank.

*Rona Simmons, a former vice president at Speer & Associates, Atlanta, as well as at Barnett Banks Inc.

*Michael McNally, a former vice president in business development at Visa International.

*Thad Peterson, former president and chief executive of Customer Communications Group, Denver.

"Our growth is the result of our clients' expanding international needs and new technologies that have allowed them to reach across borders and interface with customers in new ways," said Peter T. Dunn, managing director.
