A story Tuesday, "CEO Quits Bank-Owned Merchant Processing Firm" (page 16), misconstrued data from Vital Processing Services on its authorization, clearing, and settlement volume last year. The figures were actually billions of transactions, not billions of dollars.

The story was correct, however, in saying the U.S. Bancorp account brought $5.6 billion of annual charge volume.

A story Wednesday on page 12 misidentified the company that bought Meenan McDevitt & Co. It was Societe Generale, not a subsidiary.
