Corrections: 09/17/98

The Executive Changes column Sept. 17 on page 14 was confused about the job history of Karen Schafke, the new chief financial officer at Adams National Bank in Washington. She has dealt with regulatory agencies but has never worked for one.

Because of editing errors, the Sept. 25 article "Settlement Opens Internal B of A Documents to Plaintiffs" (page 17) confused two lawsuits.

A suit accusing BankAmerica Corp. of defrauding California government entities was filed in 1995 and is expected to go to trial next April. But this July some of the plaintiffs, including San Francisco, sued the Comptroller's Office for access to related documents. That was the case settled last week.

In the same issue, the Research Scan column on page 2 gave the wrong phone number for getting a copy of "The Rising Long-Term Trend of Single- Family Mortgage Foreclosure Rates." The right number is 202-898-7366.
