Because of a production error, the second paragraph of Tuesday's "At First Peek, Privacy Rules Look Good to Industry" was incomplete. The following sentence was omitted and should have started that paragraph: The National Credit Union Administration on Monday approved a regulation implementing privacy protections required under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999.


Also Tuesday, the page 1 headline on an article about Washington Mutual's mortgage loan automation project was incorrect. The company did not say that the project would double its mortgage volume, but that it would permit such a doubling.
