Because of technical problems, Wednesday’s print edition of American Banker included erroneous equity and bond markets data. The erroneous data appeared in a box at the top of the page 1 news summary column.

Also Wednesday, “Weighing Institutions’ Role in Crisis” on page 1 understated the sum that Congress has earmarked for disaster relief and anti-terrorism initiatives. A measure President Bush signed into law Tuesday night provides $40 billion.


A page 1 story Thursday, “Launder Strategy Overtaken by Attacks,” mistakenly included Miami and omitted San Juan, Puerto Rico, from a list of focus areas for the Treasury Department’s High-Intensity Financial Crime Area task forces.
