Cross Country Names Executive

MIDDLE ATLANTIC

Cross Country Bank, New Castle, Del., has hired Thomas A. Conigliaro to be president and chief executive officer.

He succeeds Richard Jackala, who resigned in November 1996. Dennis Fish, senior vice president of marketing, had been acting president until Mr. Conigliaro was hired.

A 20-year Chase Manhattan Corp. veteran, Mr. Conigliaro was founding president of Chase USA, the first consumer bank to operate under Delaware's 1981 Financial Center Development Act. He left Chase in 1985 and joined commercial real estate developer Delle Donne & Associates as executive vice president and partner.

In 1995 he became executive vice president at Brooks Armored Car Services, Wilmington, Del. He served in that post until June. Most recently, he had been a consultant to Applied Card Systems in Wilmington.
