Cupertino National Names Executive

Cupertino National Bancorp, parent company of Cupertino National Bank and Trust, has appointed George Bowen as acting chief credit officer.

He is responsible for the real estate, small business, commercial, and consumer business units, as well as credit administration and loan operations.

Since joining the bank in July, Mr. Bowen has been in the post of senior vice president-manager commercial lending, where his duties included establishing lending policies and managing the bank's commercial loan portfolio.

Daniel Michener has joined the company as senior vice president and managing director of its newly formed venture lending unit.

Mr. Michener will be responsible for building the unit's debt portfolio in the emerging technology community with a focus on the Northern California marketplace.

He is a former regional vice president and manager of Bank of the West's technology division.
