Denver's Best Bank buys Ised POS units.

Best Bank of Denver has signed a contract with Ised Corp. for more than 100,000 debit and credit point of sale terminals.

The Colorado-based bank will supply the terminals to its small, low-volume merchants that still submit paper drafts.

So far, Morris Plains, N.J.-based Ised has delivered 800 units.

Merchants use the so-called Sed units by attaching them to a telephone, then dialing into an authorization menu. The unit has a magnetic stripe reader and a personal identification number pad.

Ised is also supplying Sed terminals to Chittenden Bank. Rutland, Vt.
