A system that will allow consumers to use personal computer financial programs through their television sets is being developed by EON Corp. of Reston, Va., and Intuit Inc., of Menlo Park, Calif.

Consumers will be able to use their televisions to perform tasks such as organizing personal finances, reconciling and updating accounts, checking outstanding transactions, and reviewing accounts. Pricing has not been determined yet, but services might be offered by banks as part of other home-banking packages.
