First Farmers State Bank in Sullivan, Ind., has promoted Linda Jenkins to vice president.

Ms. Jenkins is a loan operations officer, a post she has held since 1991. She joined the bank in 1970.

The First Financial Corp. subsidiary has also promoted Bretta Stanley to assistant vice president. Ms. Stanley is an assistant cashier; She joined the bank in 1976 in the bookkeeping department.

First Farmers State has $147 million of assets.


Delafield State Bank in Delafield, Wis., has hired Jeffrey A. Olsen as vice president of the business banking group.Mr. Olsen, 34, came from $81 million-asset Mitchell Bank in Milwaukee, where he was a vice president.

Earlier he worked at M&I Bank, a subsidiary of Marshall & Ilsley Corp., also in Milwaukee. He has 10 years of banking experience.

Delafield State, founded in 1998, has $50 million of assets.


SOUTHEASTSouthern Security Bank Corp. in Miami said James F. Partridge former president of Visa International's Latin America and Caribbean region, has been named chairman of the banking company.

Mr. Partridge was an early investor in the company, which owns $22 million-asset Southern Security Bank in Hollywood, Fla.

He retired from the Visa regional presidency last June but remains with the card association as the regional board's strategic director executive/planning committee chairman.

Mr. Partridge worked at Visa for 22 years, and earlier was vice president in charge of operations at Banco Popular in Puerto Rico.

As Southern Security's chairman he succeeded Harold L. Connell, who remains president and chief executive officer.


First New England Financial, the marine lending subsidiary of Republic Security Bank in West Palm Beach, Fla., has promoted Bernard Kiley Jr. to vice president of investor relations.Mr. Kiley will remain Northeast regional manager in Connecticut until a successor is hired.

He has worked four years for First New England, which Republic bought last year, and before that 15 years for the marine finance division of KeyBank of Maine.

Republic Security Bank has $3.2 billion of assets.


MIDDLE ATLANTICYardville National Bank in Yardville, N.J., has named branch manager Barbara A. Cromwell as its first retail sales officer and promoted her to vice president.

Ms. Cromwell will be responsible for developing sales plans and training and overseeing the bank's incentive program.

She will remain manager of the Pennington Shopping Center branch, her post since 1998. She joined the bank in 1988.

The $1 billion-asset bank is a subsidiary of Yardville National Corp.


WESTBank of the Sierra in Porterville, Calif., has hired Barry D. Simpson as a real estate mortgage loan officer.

Mr. Simpson has 25 years of real estate experience, including managing a loan production office and owning a mortgage brokerage firm.

Most recently he ran a motel, which he has now sold to his son.

Bank of the Sierra has $460 million of assets.


Pacific Century Bank in Los Angeles has promoted Debby Hart to senior vice president and manager of its customer service and deposit network.Ms. Hart will oversee the bank's 28 branches, commercial customer operations, call center, cash management, and electronic banking and wire services.

She was service and production manager, in charge of providing guidance to managers in customer service, staff development, project administration, and risk management. She joined the bank as a consultant, overseeing branch operations and systems training, in 1994. Earlier she worked 13 years at Wells Fargo Bank.

Pacific Century Bank, a subsidiary of Honolulu-based Pacific Century Financial Corp., has $1.3 billion of assets.
