Bank Mutual Corp. of Brown Deer, Wis., has hired Michael W. Dosland as the senior vice president and chief financial officer for the $3.5 billion-asset company and its Bank Mutual.

Mr. Dosland had been the president and chief executive officer of Vantus Bank of Sioux City, Iowa, and its parent, First Federal Bancshares Inc., since 2006. Before that he had been a senior vice president and the CFO of First Federal Capital Bank in LaCrosse, Wis.

 


 PrivateBancorp Inc. of Chicago has hired John R. Newman as a managing director and adviser to the commercial real estate group of its PrivateBank-Chicago.

Mr. Newman had been the president of LaSalle Bank's commercial banking group since last year. Before that he had been the president of the specialty banking business since 2005.

He created the commercial real estate group for Michigan in 1998, when LaSalle bought Standard Federal Bank. He had worked for LaSalle since 1990.

PrivateBancorp has $7.5 billion of assets.


MIDDLE ATLANTICS&T Bancorp Inc. in Indiana, Pa., has promoted Clifford McBroom to senior vice president of S&T Financial Services and hired David A. Finui and DeeJay Bonson as vice presidents.

Mr. McBroom joined the $4.3 billion-asset S&T in 1999. Before that he had worked for NatCity Investments. Earlier he had been the president of a TrueValue home center and equipment rental business owned by his family.

Mr. Finui will be S&T's director of business development. He was a senior vice president, senior wealth management officer, and chief lending officer at Irwin Bank and Trust Co. in Columbus, Ind. Before that he had been a senior vice president and chief operating officer at Irwin Bank since 2002. Earlier he had been a vice president and trust officer there.

Mr. Bonson will also be a financial adviser for S&T. He was an independent financial adviser with Pennsylvania Financial Consultants.

 


 Northfield Bank of Staten Island, N.Y., has hired Julie DeStefano and Larry Sherman as vice presidents.

Ms. DeStefano was a vice president and community banking manager for Staten Island Bank and Trust.

Mr. Sherman had worked for GE Commercial Finance since 1995, originating commercial mortgages on business properties in New York. Before that he originated Small Business Administration loans and mortgages with ITT Small Business Finance Corp.

Northfield has $1.5 billion of assets.


SOUTHEASTBank of Florida Corp. in Naples has hired Wayne Gilmore as the president and chief executive officer for its Bank of Florida-Southeast in Fort Lauderdale.

Mr. Gilmore was a sales performance banking executive for Bank of America Corp. in Fort Lauderdale.

Bank of Florida Corp. has $1.4 billion of assets.


WESTPuget Sound Bank of Bellevue, Wash., has promoted Steve Vincent, Katherine Thompson, Jana Westphal, and David Stegmeier.

Mr. Vincent and Ms. Thompson were promoted from vice president to senior vice president. They will remain relationship managers for the $136.2 million-asset bank.

Ms. Westphal and Mr. Stegmeier were promoted from assistant vice president to vice president. Ms. Westphal will remain an assistant operations manager. Mr. Stegmeier was also promoted from assistant relationship manager to relationship manager.
