Executive Changes

NEW ENGLAND

Farmington Savings Bank in Connecticut has hired Gregory White as an executive vice president and its treasurer and chief financial officer.

Mr. White had been a senior vice president and the CFO at Rockville Bank in Vernon Rockville since 2003. Before that he had been the vice president of business development for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston. Earlier he had been a vice president of mergers and acquisitions and corporate development for Webster Bank in Hartford, Conn.

Mr. White succeeded the retiring John H. Hangen at Farmington Savings, a $1 billion-asset unit of First Connecticut Bancorp Inc.


MIDWESTFirst Federal Bankshares Inc. in Sioux City, Iowa, has hired Levon L. Mathews as the chief executive officer and president of the $549 million-asset company and its Vantus Bank.

He succeeded Barry E. Backhaus, who had held those jobs on an interim basis since Michael W. Dosland left in July to join another bank.

Mr. Mathews, a 25-year banking veteran, was most recently an executive vice president and the director of private banking sales for Regions Financial Corp. in Birmingham, Ala. He is also a former board member of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.


MIDDLE ATLANTICNorth Penn Bancorp Inc. of Scranton, Pa., has hired Charles E. Burnett as the chief financial officer for the company and its North Penn Bank.

Mr. Burnett had been the CFO and treasurer of Jeffersonville Bancorp in New York since 2003 and senior vice president and CFO for its First National Bank of Jeffersonville since 2000. Before that he had been the comptroller of the $134 million-asset bank, where he had worked since 1995.


SOUTHEASTTrustAtlantic Financial Corp. of Raleigh has hired Rick A. Schuler and Anne Evenson Rajanen to work at its TrustAtlantic Bank.

Mr. Schuler will oversee the development of commercial loan and deposit relationships for the $262 million-asset bank. He held a similar position at Fifth Third Bank in Raleigh.

Ms. Rajanen will be the compliance and audit officer for TrustAtlantic Bank. She was the chief audit officer for South Carolina Federal Credit Union.


WESTSanta Cruz County Bank of California has hired Sandi Eason as its executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Ms. Eason has been a member of several community boards since last year. Before that she had been the president and chief executive officer since 2005 at Coast Commercial Bank, which Wells Fargo & Co. bought last year.

Earlier she had been a senior vice president and manager of the business banking division at Wells Fargo. In that role her responsibilities included managing the loan production team in the Central Coast area. She worked for Wells for 29 years before joining Coast Commercial.

Santa Cruz County Bank has $217 million of assets.

 


 Pacific Coast Bankers' Bank of San Francisco has hired Eric Davis as a senior vice president and its chief information officer.

Mr. Davis was the chief technology officer of Wells Fargo & Co.'s corporate finance division. He had worked for Wells since 1997.

Pacific Coast has $547 million of assets.
