S.Y. Bancorp Inc. of Louisville has hired William M. Dishman 3rd as its chief risk officer.

Mr. Dishman was the executive vice president and chief credit officer for the Kentucky and Tennessee markets at National City Bank, which PNC Financial Services Group Inc. bought in December.

S.Y. Bancorp has $1.6 billion of assets.


NEW ENGLANDNewtown Savings Bank in Connecticut has promoted John F. Trentacosta to chief executive officer.

Mr. Trentacosta will remain the $932 million-asset bank's president and chief operating officer. He has held those positions since 2003. Before that he had been the senior executive vice president and chief financial officer.

He joined Newtown Savings in 1998 as a senior vice president and the controller.

As the president and chief operating officer, Mr. Trentacosta has added electronic banking, mobile banking, and remote deposit capture to Newtown Savings' offerings, the bank said.


MIDDLE ATLANTICGreater Hudson Bank of Bardonia, N.Y., has hired Basel Rabie and Jeffrey Heaphy for its branch in Bardonia.

Mr. Rabie is the branch manager. He held similar jobs at KeyBank and Union State Bank, which KeyCorp acquired last year.

Mr. Heaphy is the assistant manager for the branch. He had been an assistant manager at KeyBank. Before that he had held a similar position at Union State.

Greater Hudson has $67 million of assets.

 


 Gramercy Capital Corp. of New York said its chief financial officer, John B. Roche, will leave the company by April 15.

Mr. Roche has been the chief financial officer of the real estate and investment company since April. Before that he had been an adviser for Gramercy Capital during the integration of American Financial Realty Trust, which Gramercy bought last year.

Gramercy said that Mr. Roche is leaving the company to pursue other interests.


SOUTHEASTCity National Bank of Florida in Miami has hired Jorge Gonzalez as its president.

Mr. Gonzalez was the southeastern Florida market president for Wachovia Corp. Before that he had been a vice president and commercial loan officer for TIB Bank.

City National Bank of Florida is a $3.5 billion-asset unit of City National Bancshares Inc. in Miami.
