Executive Changes: Fleet Exec Joins Pennsylvania's S&T In Top Investment Job

S&T Bank in Indiana, Pa., has hired Gregor T. Young 4th as executive vice president and managing director of its investment management and trust services department.

Mr. Young was a senior vice president and regional manager for FleetBoston Bank's private client group in western Massachusetts. Before that he was a vice president and regional manager for the trust department of Boston-based Shawmut Bank, which Fleet Financial Group, now FleetBoston Financial Corp., bought in 1996.

S&T Bank is a subsidiary of 2.2 billion-asset S&T Bancorp.


MIDWEST

Marquette National Bank in Chicago has promoted Jack McMahon to origination manager in the residential real estate department.Mr. McMahon, who had managed one of Marquette's mortgage regions, will now supervise all four. He will also continue to generate and close residential real estate loans.

He came to the bank in 1998 from Oak Lawn Financial in Oak Lawn, Ill., where he was a mortgage representative.

Marquette also promoted trust administration officer Lorraine A. Lachowicz to assistant vice president and trust officer.

Ms. Lachowicz joined the bank in 1978.

Marquette National Bank is a subsidiary of $1 billion-asset Marquette National Corp.


SOUTHEAST

Raymond James Bank in St. Petersburg, Fla., has hired Grant Pinney as an accountant.Mr. Pinney was a Tampa branch manager for West Palm Beach-based Republic Security Bank. He has three years of banking experience.

Raymond James Bank, a subsidiary of Raymond James Financial, has $674 million of assets.


WEST

Neighborhood National Bank in San Diego has hired Beverly Stewart as vice president and manager of business banking.Ms. Stewart will be in charge of establishing and expanding a business lending operation. She was a vice president and administrator of government-guaranteed loans at $248 million-asset Valle de Oro Bank in Spring Valley, Calif.

She has 30 years of banking experience.

The bank's parent, Neighborhood National Bancorp, has also named Robert L. North, who is chairman of HNC Software Inc., to its board of directors.

Mr. North has been president and chief executive officer of HNC, a vendor to the financial, retail, insurance, and telecommunications markets, since 1987.

Neighborhood National, which was founded in 1997, has $32 million of assets.


Imperial Bank of Inglewood, Calif., has promoted Douglas E. Weber to regional vice president and put him in charge of its Central California office, in Fresno.He succeeded Thomas H. Franson, who now heads the Sacramento regional office.

Mr. Weber joined Imperial in 1996 as a commercial lending officer. Before that he was a vice president and relationship manager at Wells Fargo Bank.

Before his new promotion he was a senior vice president and the regional portfolio manager in the Fresno office. Succeeding him in those roles is Brian Santos, who was a vice president and relationship manager.

Mr. Santos will be in charge of credit administration and retain some commercial loan officer duties. He joined Imperial in 1996 as a vice president and commercial loan officer; before that spent 10 years at Wells Fargo Bank.

Finally, the bank has hired Dennis W. Johnson as vice president and commercial loan officer in the Fresno office. Mr. Johnson was a vice president and credit manager at the Fresno office of Los Angeles-based Sanwa Bank.

Imperial Bank, a subsidiary of Imperial Bancorp, has $6 billion of assets.
