Federal Reserve of New York Bank Names Executives

MIDDLE ATLANTIC

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York said Bal Dixit, president and chief executive officer of Newtex Industries Inc., and Louis Thomas, director of the United Steelworkers of America, Buffalo, have been appointed directors of the Buffalo branch of the New York Fed.

Mr. Dixit succeeds F.C. Richardson, former president of Buffalo State College, whose three-year term ended Dec. 31.

Mr. Thomas succeeds Donald L. Rust, plant manager, Tonawanda Engine Plant, GM powertrain division, General Motors Corp., Buffalo, who had been a director since January 1992.

Joseph H. Castiglia, vice chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Pratt & Lambert United, Buffalo, was redesignated chairman of the board of the Buffalo branch for 1996.
