First Indiana Names Executive

First Indiana Bank, Indianapolis, has promoted Gregory P. O'Connor to first vice president in the business lending department.

Mr. O'Connor, who was a vice president, will remain responsible for business loans, fee income, and the cross-selling of products within commercial lending. He joined First Indiana's business lending department in 1992.

The bank also promoted Fred J. Merritt and Mark S. Stevenson from assistant vice president to vice president in the commercial banking division.

Mr. Merritt is a commercial loan officer at the bank, responsible for business development and commercial loan portfolio maintenance.

Mr. Stevenson is a commercial loan administration manager, responsible for managing the processing and servicing of special assets and loan review areas of the bank.

In a separate announcement, the bank elected former U.S. Rep. Andrew Jacobs Jr. to a three-year term on the board of directors.

First Indiana Bank is the principal subsidiary of First Indiana Corp.
