FIRST NATIONAL South, Columbia, S.C., said Curtis A. Tyner has joined the bank as executive vice president. Mr. Tyner was executive vice president and chief financial officer with Palmetto Bank in Greenville, S.C.
Ottie L. Blanton Hooks has joined First National as assistant vice president. She was assistant vice president at Carolina Bank and Trust.
Edward S. Spivey has been named a management trainee and will take become a banking officer.
Richard S. Plyler, formerly of Wachovia Bank of South Carolina, has joined First National as a banking officer. His duties will focus on expanding the customer base in the Myrtle Beach area as well as on lending.
