First Tennessee Promotes Horn

Ralph Horn has been named president, chief operating officer, and a director of First Tennessee National Corp., Memphis, and a director of its principal subsidiary, First Tennessee Bank.

Mr. Horn, 50, had been executive vice president in charge of the bank's sizable bond division. In the latter role, he is 1991 chairman of the Public Securities Association.

Ronald Terry, 60, chairman and chief executive officer of First Tennessee National Corp. and of the bank, had also been president and chief operating officer since 1988.

John Dulin, 53, will remain president of First Tennessee Bank and take primary responsibility for the Memphis region.

Mr. Horn worked in the bond division for 28 years, was named its manager in 1976, and became an executive vice president in 1985. The division has been among the top 10 in gross revenue in seven of the last 10 years.

Jim Hughes, 49, will replace Mr. Horn as executive vice president and manager of the bond division. He had been its senior vice president and sales manager.
