Fiserv has landed a partnership with the U.S. division of Banco de Brazil, which is planning on creating a federal savings bank for services to Brazilian immigrants.
The plan still requires federal approval, but the $160-billion asset Banco de Brazil is looking to open five branches to offer mortgages and deposit accounts. The partnership with Fiserv will plant the Premier core system from Fiserv’s Information Technology Inc. (ITI) business unit.
In addition to processing services outsourced to Fiserv’s ITI data center in Glastonbury, Ct., the new bank’s IT backbone will include Fiserv Credit Processing, IPS-Sendero for enterprise risk management, Fiserv EFT for ATM and debit cards, and Fiserv Lending Solutions.
