John R. Bahnken, Edwin J. Santos, and Michael J. Curran have been appointed executive vice presidents at Fleet Corporate Administration, the services unit of Fleet Financial Group.
Mr. Bahnken is the senior financial officer responsible for functional financial management of Fleet Financial. He has responsibility for the corporation's business line control organization, financial planning and analysis, and the development and production of financial information systems.
As director of corporate auditing for Fleet Financial, Mr. Santos is responsible for the audit functions at all of the group's bank and financial services subsidiaries.
Mr. Curran is responsible for Fleet's cash management, trade, and corporate trust business lines supporting corporate, community, government, and institutional customers through more than a dozen sales and processing centers across New England.
Thomas E. Scribner has been appointed senior vice president and group counsel in the legal department at Fleet Corporate Administration.
Mr. Scribner is head of a group in the legal department which is responsible for providing legal counsel and support for Fleet's commercial banking franchise.
At Fleet's New York unit, John E. McWeeney Jr. has been named Long Island regional president for corporate lending.
He has been Hudson Valley regional president since 1993.
