Former Chase Executive to Lead U.S. Wincor Nixdorf Operations

Wincor Nixdorf tapped an executive from one of its key clients to become CEO of its U.S. Division. The German ATM manufacturer has named former JPMorgan Chase retail banking executive Patrick Wright to the post. The company’s emphasis: to continue to make inroads with image-enabled ATMs and expand in POS terminal markets in the states.

Prior to being tapped by Wincor Nixdorf, Wright, 41, served three years as svp and head of JPM’s retail operations. A year ago, Wright was the point man on the deployment of 900 image-scanning ATMs as part of a system-wide replacement and upgrade plan, with most of those machines coming from Wincor Nixdorf.

Wincor has deployed or is piloting bulk-load ATM systems with nine of the top 25 banks in the U.S., and is looking to expand its market presence for checkout systems, cash management and software solutions for leading retailers, company officials say.
