Turkiye Garanti Bankasi AS, the Turkish bank in which General Electric Co. has a 21% stake, will pay gold to customers who sign up for a new credit card, the Istanbul newspaper Star reported Wednesday.
Instead of earning points from spending, clients who use the Gold Bonus card will amass ounces of gold, the newspaper said.
Receiving the gold requires a visit to the Turkish jewelry chain Atasay, Garanti's partner in the project, Star said.
