Granite Bank in N.H. Hires Minn. Banker as CEO

Granite Bank in Colebrook, N.H., has named a Minnesota community banker as its new chief executive.

Scott Cooper will succeed Loyd Dollins, who will retire in December as CEO of the $261 million-asset Granite. Cooper will also succeed Dollins as president. Cooper will start work at Granite as chief operating officer on March 28.

Cooper had been chief risk management officer at the $571 million-asset United Prairie Bank in Mountain Lake, Minn. Cooper has ties to the New England region, as he also was previously chief executive of First Brandon National Bank in Vermont.

Dollins has been CEO of Granite since 1999. He previously was president of an organizing group for a community bank in Miami before he moved to New Hampshire in 1991.
