INDIANAPOLIS -- Ronald R. Morphew, president of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis since 1979, died on Dec. 17. He was 58.

Before becoming president of the home loan bank, Mr. Morphew was a senior partner with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. in Detroit.

He was born in Detroit, grew up in Sarnia, Ontario, served in the Air Force, and earned his accounting degree at the University of Nebraska. He served a two-year term on the Resolution Funding Corp. board, beginning in 1989, and was 1991 chairman of the Financial Institutions Retirement Fund.

Mr. Morphew is survived by his wife, Mary; three children, and three grandchildren. The funeral was on Dec. 21.
