Hibernia giving post to exec of target Bank.

NEW ORLEANS - Hibernia National Bank said J. Herbert Boydstun, president of First Bancorp of Louisiana, will become chairman of Hiberina's northeastern Louisiana organization after pending aquisitions are completed next year.

First Bancorp, which has $225 million of assets, owns First National Bank of West Monroe, Southern National Bank at Tallulah, and Bastrop National Bank.

When those institutions are merged into New Orleans-based Hibernia, it will have 11 offices and $425 million of assets in northeastern Louisiana.

The group will retain regional executives: John Ulmer as president of the Tallulah organization, Richard W. Revels and Henry Bridges as chairman and president in the Bastrop area, and Malcolm E. Maddox as president in Monroe and West Monroe.
