Pittsburgh (Pa.) Home Savings Bank has hired Sandra M. Stone to be assistant controller.

Ms. Stone began her career in 1986 as an internal auditor at J.C. Penney & Co. in Pittsburgh and later spent three years at Federated Investors Inc. of Pittsburgh, rising to audit supervisor. In 1996 she joined the Commission for Post Secondary Education in Phoenix as business and financial aid manager. She returned to Pittsburgh last May, remaining a consultant to the commission via the Internet.

Pittsburgh Home Savings has $392 million of assets.
