Huntington Bancshares Inc. has postponed an issue of $100 million of subordinated debt because of what investment bankers described as unsettled market conditions. Underwriters led by Lehman Brothers had begun marketing the 10-year deal late last week with the spread targeted at 120 basis points over 10-year Treasuries.

The yield on 10-year Treasuries has surged since late last week. Ten-year securities were yielding 6.88% Wednesday afternoon, 21 basis points higher than the yield at close of trading on Oct. 29.
