IBM to Market Home Financial's Software

Home Financial Network Inc. has signed a marketing agreement with International Business Machines Corp.

IBM will market Home Financial's Total Web Banking front-end Internet banking software to its electronic banking clients in North America.

Daniel M. Schley, the chairman and chief executive officer of Home Financial, said the agreement would probably help his company attract more banks above the $50 billion-asset threshold. Home Financial says its clients include 21 of the largest 100 U.S. financial institutions.

The two companies have been working together for more than a year to integrate their Internet banking software, Mr. Schley said. Both platforms are based on the same architecture and incorporate Java technology from Sun Microsystems Inc.
