OMAHA - Laurentian Bank of Canada has signed a five-year agreement to use First Data Corp. for card processing services, the processor has announced.
First Data will help the Montreal bank with portfolio management, including risk management, marketing, collections, and customer service. Laurentian had previously managed and processed its card operations in-house.
"Using First Data's advanced technology and expertise in card product development, we can achieve profitable growth by opening new markets and lowering costs, which will impact our ability to better serve our customers," said Henri-Paul Rousseau, president and chief executive officer of Laurentian.
