In Brief: ABA Gears Up for Compliance Symposium

Changes to the Bank Secrecy Act and problems in fair lending will be the main topics in the American Bankers Association's annual compliance symposium teleconference on March 23.

The conference also is expected to cover flood insurance legislation and changes to the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act.

Moderated by John Byrne, senior counsel at the ABA, the conference will run from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. It will be broadcast over the ABA's American Financial Skylink.

The symposium also will address the new Community Reinvestment Act rules if they have been released by that time.

Bankers can call 1-800-338-0626 for more information.
