In Brief: Allstate Rebrands Workplace Insurer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Allstate Financial Group has adopted an Allstate-style marketing name for American Heritage Life Insurance Co., which it bought in 1999.

The unit and its subsidiaries have started going by Allstate Financial Workplace Division to reflect their focus on providing insurance products at the workplace. The legal name of the underwriting company will remain American Heritage Life Insurance Co.

The announcement was made July 27.

American Heritage Life has 22 sales offices licensed to operate in 49 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. It offers insurance products through payroll deduction.

Its products include universal life, term life, interest-sensitive whole life, disability income, cancer, accident, hospital indemnity, and dental insurance. They are offered to more than 16,500 companies through Allstate agents and independent brokers and agents.
