In Brief: Amro Opens S.F. Office, Hires Montgomery Exec

ABN Amro Chicago Corp. has set up a correspondents marketing office in San Francisco and has hired a Montgomery Securities employee to run it.

Jane E. Sinclair, a senior vice president in Amro's West Coast dealer services correspondent division, will provide clearing services to fully disclosed and execution clients. She will report to Joseph Oliva, senior vice president and director of correspondents marketing.

The Chicago-based group plans to expand nationwide and will open a correspondents marketing office in New York in the near future, according to Mr. Oliva.

"Our intention is to grow very significantly in the correspondent dealer business," said Mr. Oliva, noting that his group would like to be ranked in the top 10 in the clearing business.
