In Brief: Bank Atlantic Stock Now Trades on NYSE

BankAtlantic Bancorp's Class A common stock started trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol BBX.

Until the close of trading on Tuesday, BankAtlantic was listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the symbol BANCA.

BankAtlantic Bancorp's Class B common stock will not be affected by the change and will remain listed and traded on the Nasdaq exchange, under its existing trading symbol BANC.

On Monday, BankAtlantic paid a five-for-four common stock split in the form of a 25% common stock dividend, payable in Class A stock to both Class A and Class B common stockholders of record on Aug. 1.

BankAtlantic Class A common stock was declared ex-dividend at the start of trading Tuesday.

BankAtlantic Bancorp is the parent company of BankAtlantic which, with assets of $2.7 billion, is the second-largest financial institution based in Florida.
