In Brief: Bank of America Hires Branding Executive

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Bank of America Tuesday named Dan Roselli its brand and communications executive. He will lead the development and management of the banking company's brand.

Mr. Roselli joins Bank of America from Allied Domecq PLL, where he was vice president of marketing and was responsible for a number of brands. He had been the marketing director at M&M Mars, where he led the marketing efforts for M&M candies.

Bank of America recently introduced a $100 million national advertising campaign. "Growing the Bank of America brand is one of the company's primary initiatives, so it was important that we bring someone in with a proven track record in a leading-edge organization," said Barbara Desoer, chief marketing executive for the company, in a statement.

Mr. Roselli is to be based at Bank of America's Charlotte headquarters and will report to Ms. Desoer.
