In Brief: Bank of America Promotes 2 in California

LOS ANGELES - Bank of America has promoted two executives to head its premier banking and small-business banking groups in California.

The company said Kim Burdick, who has headed its premier banking program in Southern California since October 1998, will head the effort statewide.

Doug Sawyer, who previously managed small-business operations in Southern California, was named small-business executive for the state.

Both executives will report to Liam E. McGee, president of Bank of America, California. Bank of America holds loans and deposits in California of more than $185 billion, and has 960 branches and 5,000 ATMs in the state.
