In Brief: Bank of Ill. Changing Name, Adding Offices

AmeriMark Financial Corp. has announced it will change the name of Bank of Illinois to AmeriMark Bank. The company also announced the opening of two new office locations, creating a four-branch network.

The new locations, in Glen Ellyn and Countryside, reflect AmeriMark's strategic goal of building a community banking network in Chicago's western suburbs. Bank of Illinois operates from its headquarters in Villa Park and a branch office in Downers Grove.

AmeriMark Financial was formed in 1996. It completed the purchase of Duco Bancshares, holding company for Bank of Illinois, in March. Bank of Illinois had assets of $51.2 million on June 30.
