In Brief: Banker Pleads Not Guilty In Conn. Cleanup Case

In an attempt to name a responsible party to clean up the property when the owners failed to do so after a fire, a local building inspector brought criminal charges against James Wallace, a commercial loan officer at People's Bank. Mr. Wallace faces charges of failure to comply with a written order of a building inspector, a violation of a Connecticut building code. The charges were brought by Gene Bolles, who said in an interview last month: "The building code is not something to be trifled with, and I think that is missed."
