Boston Private Financial Holdings said Wednesday that it has completed its purchase of E.R. Taylor Investments Inc., a 17-year-old value-style investment advisory that targets wealthy investors.
E.R. Taylor, which manages $535 million of assets for high-net-worth individuals in New England, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, has been renamed Boston Private Value Investors Inc.
The $10.5 million deal is Boston Private's second such acquisition in less than a year. Last August the private banking company bought Sandhill Advisors, a growth-style investment adviser in Menlo Park, Calif., a pickup that gave the buyer $3.5 billion of assets under management and proximity to the lucrative Silicon Valley market.
